<p>Not always. If the university is a public university (which receives funding from the individual state - financed by taxation of the state’s residents) then that state’s students receive a discount. All others pay a higher rate (including kids from other states and all international students).</p>
<p>If it’s a private college, then everyone pays the same amount.</p>
<p>But US colleges are more apt to give financial aid to US applicants. Here, many international applicants get much lower financial assistance. Sometimes, colleges give NO financial assistance to foreign applicnts</p>
<p>How much? It depends. There is no set answer. When you research colleges, you see what the target school may offer to international students. If it’s more than you can afford and there’s little likelihood of Financial Aid, you should look elsewhere.</p>
