International students (Nigeria) searching for USA universities with full ride scholarship

I have students who are academically gifted and dire need of higher education. However, these students are from indigent homes. Is there hope for these students?

A tiny bit of hope, yes.

Read through this website. Google. Find an advising center for in-person help:

Have the students take the SAT and ACT exams. Have them apply widely to a variety of schools in different parts of the country to increase their odds. If these students are men/women of color, and if they’re female, that makes it a bit easier.

Finally, have a back up plan in Nigeria or elsewhere in Africa.

There are far more “academically gifted” students than scholarships, and the chances of someone getting a “full ride” (very rare, by the way) are very small.

You should offer a free class to prepare for the SAT sections, and work thoroughly with them till they master the various types of problems (or ACT if it matches your curriculum better).
If they need full rides, their best odds will be at merit scholarship schools - and the scholarships depend on Sat scores.
You can look at FAMU, Howard, Prairie View A&M, UMontevallo, WKU, UAkron, Youngstown State…
Look into Berea.
Then look into top LACs and some of the private national Universities.
