LASIK is an extremely safe procedure with only rare complications. In many ways, it’s safer than wearing contacts. The key is to have realistic expectations. Not everyone gets 20/20 uncorrected vision. Dry eyes is a common side effect, but usually can be treated with eye drops. I would look for someone who did a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery.
