DD applied late in the game to a GLADCHEMMS, and interview slots were full. Last night, she got an email requesting an interview, with timing options given for this week.
This is a good sign, right?
I’m trying to play it cool and not raise her hopes, by telling her that “it doesn’t really mean anything, just that you had an interesting application, and they had some extra time for interviews,” but inside I’m screaming because she is SO excited about this school and a few specific programs they offer.
To me it suggests your daughter is not in the “immediately reject” pile (and possibly not in the “immediately accept” pile). So yes probably a positive development but since the odds are still long I wouldn’t get hopes up too much.

I’m still going to be very happy she wasn’t in the “immediately reject” pile… honestly, that’s just the self esteem boost we need during the agony of waiting.
