iphone/ipad tips

I have had an iPhone since April & while there are many things I like about it, a huge irritation was how my list of contacts had ballooned to 45,000.
I hadn’t been able to find an easy fix- despite trying, but I have found an app that for $4.99 is high but it works even though the only feature I have used so far is deleting multiple contacts.
[Groups: SMS, Mail and Manage Contacts for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store](http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/groups-sms-mail-manage-contacts/id300891442?mt=8)

Kindle also has an update in the app store, but be warned- the update eliminates the store button from the application, so that you can not buy more books from within the Kindle app once you update.

Any other tips/tricks you would like to share?

Just read about this–Apple made them do it.

45,000 contacts?!

45,000 contacts?!
not sure exactly what happened but most are duplicates but I tell you I am not syncing anymore.

I wish I’d gotten 3G. It seems that even when I go places that offer wi-fi, and the ipad TELLS me I’m connected to the internet via xyz network, I still can’t log onto email or safari, just get a dumb little message saying I’m not connected. GRUMBLE

Try this to help your iPad see wifi.

actually this wasn’t the one I was thinking of- I use wi-fi track, but Apple seems to have removed it from the Apple store.

[Wi-Fi Finder for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store](http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wi-fi-finder/id300708497?mt=8)

When that happens, try the “forget this network” function, and resubmit the information. Sometimes you have to attempt to “login” on a different network for the cycle to complete.

Thanks, I actually HAVE that app though haven’t ever used it. But when the iPad SAYS that I’m logged into a network and then tells me I’m not I get confused. I’m a technophobe of the first order, I just heard Apple products were so amazing but I can’t figure out how to fix this.
