Is 18 credits doable at a CC with these classes?

Hey, I will be taking in the fall:

HIST 101 Survey of American History I

PSYCH 101 Intro to Psychology

MATH 136 College Algebra

CINS 101 Intro to Microcomputers

BUSN 102 Business Law

ENG 211 Technical Writing

Are they doable to take all in one semester? I’m thinking of dropping the last class since its not a degree requirement at the university I will transfer to, but will still count toward my fulfillment of graduation requirements.

Thanks !

I am about to start my fifth semester in a CC as a high school senior/college sophomore for Dual Enrollment. From my experience six classes is indeed a heavy load. I try not to take more than five classes including labs. However, it depends on how devoted you are to school work and how much free time you want to yourself. The only class that should present an abundance of homework is the College Algebra.

Yeah College Algebra is not that easy, since its actually pre-calculus not mostly algebra. Anyhow I think I will just then drop ENG 211.

You could always just go to all classes for the first few weeks, and decide which one to drop after you’ve been to a few sessions.
Anyway, the course load looks fine to me.
