Is 4 AP Classes Worth It?

Hey there,

So I am thinking about what classes I intend on taking next year, and in terms of AP classes, I’m thinking AP Physics 1, AP Computer Science, AP English, and APUSH. However, I’m wondering if 4 APs is pushing it. If anything, I’d drop APUSH Currently I am a soph in AP Gov and AP Chem, have A’s in both classes with a B here and there with my other classes. I don’t find myself ever stressed out, really, especially with how much I tend to procrastinate. Should I take a stab at it, or should am I in over my head?

What other classes are you taking this year and next year? How are you doing in your current course? Have you asked classmates and teachers about the workload of those classes? Which of the the subjects do you enjoy?
There are a lot of factors involved and without knowing them, my response would be inadequate.

I currently take Algebra 2, AP Chem, AP Gov, French 2, Engl 10, and health/gym. Next year I’d consider AP Engl, AP Computer Science, APUSH, French 3, Precalc, and AP Physics 1.

I think it should be find. AP Physics 1 is just regular physics with the “AP” in front of it…APUSH is hard though so I hope you like histroy! AP Comp Sci is either super difficult or super easy depending on programming experience…and AP Lang and AP Lit are both kind of hard no matter what. Since you’re already taking APs as a soph, 4 APs shouldn’t be too difficult.
