Is 5'10'' an okay height for a sophomore

I’m 6’4 and im a sophmore in HS and im 15 turning sixteen in a couple of months my dad is 6’0 and my mom is 5’7 everytime i walk in the hall way i stick out like a big stick

if you willing to know about your height than ask yourself, did your secondary sexual trait development completed yet?

I stopped growing at about 15 or 16 at 6, also I am asian and I had bad nutrient environement when I was a kid, so you might have actually stopped growing a little earlier than me.

I think it’s kind of fun that everyone is sharing their heights. I’m 19 and female. I’m 5’9ish. I was about 5’6 when I was a freshamn in HS. My dad was 6’3 and my mom is 5’6.

-Amy

i’m nearly 18 and i’m 5 feet 5 inches. lol :P

As long as you aren’t going out for basketball…

And hopefully you aren’t scrawny either. 5’10’’ is fine. I’m 5’8’’ and 190 lbs, and play defense in several sports… It all depends on what you do.

I’m pretty sure your height/weight won’t matter for math comps though ;)…

my mom keeps telling me I’m going to grow taller, but I haven’t grown at all in a good 1-2 years, so I seriously doubt it. I’m the 2nd shortest of 6 immediate family members. It goes my older sister (5’8, 19yrs), my dad (5’7, 46 yrs.), my brother, (5’4, 14 yrs.), me (5’4 (my brother’s got me by about half-an-inch), my little sister (5’1-2, 13 years old)

i bet i’m the shortest person here! haha

I’m 5’0 :(

well i’m an (asian - filipina) girl, and i can’t help but notice that most asians around me (particularly chinese) are getting really tall… ugh lol. my parents are pretty short (5’0 and 5’7)

i wish i was 3 inches taller, but alas, i think i’m done with growing :frowning: :frowning: :(

Gah.

I grew really slowly in high school. Right now i’m 19/5’9 (and still growing, i think) but when I was a sophomore I think i was hovering somewhere in the range of 5’2 to 5’3. Yes, pathetic, I know.

i am height crazy

5 10 is tall enough dude

5 9 and 1/4 is the average height of an american
according to some site i read

so you’re fine

I can’t really talk. I’m 6’ 2. As a sophomore I was 6’ 1 (but a helluvalot skinnier…). But 5’10 is still a good height. You’re gonna think I’m kidding, but a serious disadvantage to height is walking into tree branches.

you’re taller than me… and i’m a senior…

My dad is 6’ and my mom is 5’6’‘. I’m exactly in between at 5’9’'. kind of weird. but I’m also a girl, so I consider myself tall. btw i’m a senior. '05 baby!

The most important factor in deciding if 5’10" is a good height - do your feet touch the ground. If they do, you’re good to go! :)

I’m somewhere between 5ft 6 and 5ft7, which is 25%tile. I sometimes get ****ed off that I’m not taller, but it doesn’t bother me too much, and I used to be 10%tile for my age. Right now I’m about as tall as my dad and taller than a few uncles, and it’s okay considering that my family is on the less than average height side. I wouldn’t consider myself short though (sophomore).

I know a sophomore (male) who’s 5’3. Don’t worry about it.

I’m female and 5’6, and I hate it. I wish I were two inches shorter!

so many tall people… i’m a sophomore guy… i say i’m 152.4 cm tall just to make the numbers look bigger =X

I’d say it’s pretty good for a sophomore. I would consider 5’11/6 pretty much the the ideal height for male. I’m short of one or two more inches, and don’t think I’m ever gonna get that.

5’10" is above average for a Sophomore. 5’10" is very slightly above average for a full grown adult, and hopefully you still have a few years left in you. If you have tall parents, then there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be tall as well. Anyway, I consider 5’11" to be pretty tall, so you’re almost there. I’m a Senior at 5’10", and the only people I come across that are taller than me are the really tall people. Like in one class, there are a few taller people, but one is 6’3" and the other is 6’6", both are on the basketball team. So I don’t feel short at all, everyone taller than me is just ridiculously tall.

I’m currently a junior and am 5’10" - being 5’10" isn’t bad for a sophomore at all.

shut up man. i’m 5’6. is that ok w/ you!
