Is a fast decision a good decision?

Okay so my grades are very borderline for pitt, however my sat scores are a bit above average, (1900 and gap of 3.1 uw 3.5 w). however, I applied to the dietrich school of arts and sciences for a major in asian studies and I had a tremendous essay about my charitable work in India through the club I created and I also talked about my work through a caregiver service in my town.

I sent all my info in and it was stamped as received on 12/10. I called yesterday and they said they had made a decision and mailed it on 12/17.

Does this quick a decision hint at an acceptance or denial?

Please give your opinions

It could be an acceptance but not sure. Please let us know the outcome after your receive a snail letter which could be a X-mas gift for you and your family. ;)

An x mas gift or the start of a depressing winter break!

a denial letter cannot be sent so quickly. I bet on a X-mas gift. :)

I have a friend who’s son is a freshman there now, business major, with an unweighted gpa slightly higher than yours (3.3) but had absolutely not one Honor or AP class so there is no weighted gpa, and lower SAT scores than you. My bet is for a Xmas gift!
