Is a Newspaper Editor considered an Officer?

Hello everyone!

I was filling out the “About Me” section of Niche, and it asked me if I was an officer for the School Newspaper, and I had never even thought about that.
Last year, I was a reporter, and this year (Senior year) I will be the Text Editor and Business Editor (Financer). Can anyone tell me if my titles are considered an officer so I can list them that way on my college app?

It’s a leadership position, so yes, I’d consider it on the same level as an officer.

I definitely think so! You hold a position that is higher up from the rest of the club/class, so it does resemble a officer position.
