I know this is kind of random, but it just gets on my nerves. I especially hate it when people punch the lenses out of the new 3D glasses. I see it about 20 times a day (not an exaggeration), and I’m starting to find it really annoying. To each his own, I guess.

This nerd fad is nonexistent where I live.

Really? It’s pretty common where I live.

Just ignore it.

This nerd fad is also nonexistent where I live. Real nerds (like me!) look the same as regular people, unless they are also geeks. And that 3D glasses thing sounds idiotic.

The “nerd fad” is mainly for dances where you dress up as a group. Some people wear them in school, but it’s just lame.

Yea, I’m talking about the fake “nerd” fad, not actually intelligent people. I would be insulting myself!

OP, it has hit here too! I take it as a direct insult. Girls especially think they are cool when they where the glasses from Avatar 3D, punch the holes out, and take facebook pics with a heading as “Nerdy for life <3” or something related. The worst part is that most of them are barely passing remedial classes.

/endrant

^Thank you! I thought maybe this was some Chicago thing, and I sounded like a looney. :)

No, it’s even in Idaho. Of all the places, this farming area, the nerd phase has hit.

I haven’t heard of this nerd fad.

Don’t think the nerd fad has hit in Dallas areas besides like party stuff.

I hope it doesn’t come… but I bet it will.

When my cousins received those 3-D glasses from Up, they also do that to them.

I believe most “fake nerds” are “hipster”. Bleghrgh

…This may exist here, but I’m not sure it’s frequent.

Exists here in Miami -_-

The 3D glasses thing just sounds sickening.

Exists in California (at least where I live)…

We have it in Pennsylvania (1 hour outside Philly). But it’s “hipsters” that wear them, not “fake nerds.”

^We don’t have it in PA where I live (2 hours north of Philly).
Also, I don’t get how 3-D glasses are nerdy…
