hard? easy?? would you reccomend taking it with other APs?

No, its not really hard, it just requires a ton of memorization like all the other history aps.

It is a great class to take if you have any appreciation for art. It will only be as hard as the teacher is demanding. Some art history teachers will have you look at slides and memorize the names of the art and when it was from, maybe some simple facts about the piece.

Other teachers will have you explore some works of art and art periods more closely. You will be expected to gain an understanding of the period of time and what the atmosphere was then. You will also have to learn all of the background for the art. Such as what the motivation was and what it meant to the community.

It is not a class to take if you are looking for an easy A. It is a really nice class for those people that are interested in art in general. You will gain so such insight into the different points in history that the art is from. You will also be able to talk intelligently about art in general after the class is done and will probably want to learn more.

Art and history go together, there is no way to study one without the other really.
