Hi I’m a rising junior and we have an organization at our school that basically has upperclassmen go to the freshman and sophomore homerooms twice a week to mentor them. I was interested in doing it because I thought it would be fun, and also hoped that it would help me increase my leadership skills. Is being student mentor impressive for college?
Not necessarily, however, it wouldn’t hurt either.
If you do the mentoring, be sure to mention how much time it requires and what sorts of work you do.
