<p>Is cumulative GPA typically weighted? </p>
<p>Also, this is kind of a dumb question and I understand no one can really offer an accurate answer but given a school with 350 kids per class, in a fairly well off town, where would you estimate a 3.689 cumulative GPA would land me in terms of percentile? I don’t find out my ranking till the end of August so I am just looking for a ballpark estimate.</p>
<p>It depends on your school. It seems a lot of schools provide both a weighted and unweighted GPA. If you’re unsure about which yours does, calculate what an unweighted GPA would be based on your grades.</p>
<p>It depends on the school for rank. Where I was, that GPA would have been just inside the top 10%. On the other hand, if the school grades relatively easily, it could be outside that or even well outside that.</p>
