Is doubling up in a subject worth it?

Hi, I am currently a sophomore ing high school, and I am currently doubling up in math by taking Algebra 2 and Geometry and I am concerned if that counts toward my application? Will colleges in a sense care that I am doubling up?

It definitely won’t be seen as a negative, but they probably won’t see it as a positive, either. They’ll just see it as a course selection.

Most of my classmates are only in Geometry currently, but my senior year I can be in Calculus Honors and double that up with Statistics Honors. So in a way its a good thing that I am doing this?

I think it’s a good idea; at my school you take geometry as a freshmen and Algebra 2 as a sophomore (most people anyway)

I did exactly what you did, and it worked out great for me!

I did that in 8th grade by taking geometry in school and algebra 2 online and I did fine in the classes. It’s not going to hurt your application… unless you’re like not doing English or science or something to fit in the extra math class.

It most likely won’t be viewed as a positive, nor a negative, they will probably just not care.
