Is having an Indian room mate better than that of any other nation?

Just wondering whether i should opt for an indian room mate or just go random. Any ideas?

GoRandom

I am also inclined towards that choice but a lot uncles and aunties have told me that i might face some difficulty in adjusting there and an Indian may help me in that respect. Is it true?

No, it’s not necessarily true, if you opt for Indian room mate you’ll have even a harder time making american friends, because they tend to think that Indians stay together, and opting and Indian will make them sure and you’ll just come off as you-know-what.

Yes, go random. That’s what I’m doing.

Then random it is
thanks a lot …

In my opinion, Getting a good Roommate is a lottery. The nationality has no role to play. People are people.

My D tried going with the Indian thing her freshman year…turned out to be the most challenging year. Sophomore and Junior year she went with random selection…turned out to be wonderful and fantastic …in that order.

Thanks for the replies.
I have decided to go RANDOM now.
@anialways I hope I get the better out of this “lottery” :P
