Is it a wise move to drop Spanish for AP Biology?

I’ve always been a utilitarian, and I am going into my junior year. My schedule is 100% weighted (meaning “A” gets 5.0 GPA) : H Spanish 3, AP Calculus bc, AP physics 1, AP us history, AP composition, and AP chemistry.
My counselor just informed me that she is able to switch out my Spanish class for AP biology.

–> How important is Spanish (or any language) to colleges if I will be applying for engineering major?
I’ve noticed that engineering schools like Caltech, MIT, and Harvey Mudd recommend 2 years of language, and liberal arts schools like Pomona and Claremont McKenna straight-up require 3 years.

–> Also, I’m not quite sure if taking a ton of science courses will boost my chances at engineering schools. Would they pick a heavily-science oriented student or a more balanced excel-at-all student?

Colleges that “straight-up require” 3 years of a foreign language would not view dropping Spanish for AP Bio as the best move.

Most schools recommend 3-4 years. You should stick with spanish for at least one more year.
