I’m won some pretty big awards for art, but I see it as more of a hobby I’m passionate about than a future career. I know colleges want to know your interests, but I’m worried the awards will make them question why I’m not going into an art related field instead. As silly as it sounds, I want to know if this will have any negative impact on me getting into my intended major. Thank you!

Absolutely not. The vast majority of my awards in high school were music, and I’m a Math and CS major. Not only was it not detrimental, but my music accomplishments and abilities led to me receiving a full tuition scholarship.
