Is it just my computer or has the page gone all weird and narrow?

I don’t like it either. Who needs all that blank, blue space on the sides? But at least I’m relieved to know that it’s not just my computer acting up again.

Yuk. Besides the print area being shrunk, there are two wide white columns, one left of the ads, one on right. What a waste of space. Terrible. Visually very unappealing.

That’s what mine is like^^^ Not blue space but white (or pale greyish). Is is very tiresome. What is the point?

Firefox here…It’s narrow with the wide blue sides but no new ads.
I don’t like it. Sure hope it’s not permanent.

I’ve had ads for ages…but today, the whole right side of the page is “off the page” unless I scroll over. I can’t even see if I have a PM noted. There is also some new nonsense at the top of the opening page.

What’s going on? Is this a permanent change or just tweek that isn’t quite done?

The main sign on page was different-- they are apparently doing some tweaking

I’ve been wondering what was wrong. I have Chrome and mine is all squished looking too. I hate it. I have a very wide screen monitor and even if I drag it all the way to the edges, the part I want to read stays very narrow. Hate it, hate it, hate it, if anyone is reading this looking for feedback.

I hate it. Make it go away. Send chocolate.

Mine’s doing the exact same thing. I don’t have enough patience to scroll back and forth, back and forth…

This “upgrade/enhancement” really bites…

maybe they get paid more cos you have to scroll down more to read threads

No change in ads, just a different width control. For those who don’t like the look, what kind of screen resolution are you using?

My screen resolution is 1680 by 1050 pixels.

Why are you changing the width control? Probably 1/3 of my screen is blank. It’s annoying.

1920 x 1200

Agreed, The useful width is way too narrow and there is lots of blank space on either side. I use the CC classic and I have lots of dark blue empty space on either side of a narrow useful area.

1920x1200

With the new formatting there is a huge amount of whitespace and much more scrolling is required to read the same amount of information.

New computers will only have higher resolution screens.

I’m using 1920 x 1080. The new width control is awful.

By the way, one other change is on the forum home page, where we created a new space to feature content created by CC members: visit reports, campus photos, and campus videos.

What is the goal with this change? Why would you want 40% of the page blank???

yes, what is the point. Seems really silly to me. When i first log onto a forum I can’t even see the first post until I scroll down. Really annoying.
