I have a t-shirt with a word on it… and the word is “F.C.U.K”… (without the “.”) It isn’t related to the f word… because it’s the brand of the t-shirt, French Connection United Kingdom… So, I’m just wondering how offensive it could be if I wear the t-shirt going around the campus… (since people might get the wrong idea because of it) and the size of the word is pretty big so people can read it from 4-5 meters away…

If you’re wondering, then you have answered your own question. It’s offensive.

if you feel uncomfortable wearing it, dont wear it in public…otherwise, i see no problem…

that’s not offensive, anyone who has ever heard of the brand knows it’s not being used in an offensive manner.

if you don’t mean it in an offensive manner, then anyone who takes offense at it should question their reasonings behind taking offense.

Even if it did mean the f-word, big deal.

Yes. It is offensive.

It’s clearly designed to echo the F-word, and that’s why they named the t-shirt brand so that it’s initials would look that way.

For future reference, if you have to ask yourself a question like this, the answer is almost always YES.

People who are offended by words with no meaning attached don’t deserve your caring consideration, imho.

most people know the brand

A lot of people wear that brand on campus. I think it’s popular in the NYC. You’ll be okay!

It’s just a brand. If people can’t tolerate that, it’s because they don’t know the brand or they are just thinking the other way…

This is Cornell. You’ll be absolutely fine. You’d get more crap if you wore a shirt criticizing evolution or affirmative action.

I’d only be offended because those T-shirts are kind of played out, but I don’t think any reasonable person would care that your shirt implied *. If you’re still concerned, save your * shirts for weekends, when people are engaging in lots of ****ing, and your message would be better-received.

the worst that should happen is that you’re asked not to wear the shirt to class or on campus…

cornell is more likely to do this with anti-gay or anti-black and anti-semite displays…

That’s interesting… Some people said it’s offensive, but most people said it’s not.

Has anyone seen someone actually wore the same kind of t-shirt?

I know that I had one that said “**** it” freshman year, but I never wore it. I’m sure someone at Cornell does, though, French Connection is a fairly well-known brand.

weird that it bleeps out f.c.u.k.

yea, you’re fine. A lot of people wear that brand. I’m pretty sure I know a friend of mine who wore a **** logo shirt. It wasn’t that big but I’m sure it’s not going to harm anyone. Just don’t wear like a “I hate gay people” or any other ignorant shirt and you’ll be fine.

it is very offensive
dont even think about wearing it again

**** censorship… wear whatever the hell you want

I’ve always admired that marketing scheme.

lmao at Spanks’ post
