im a guy and people say that tank tops are for ******bags. is it acceptable for people to wear them in college? Im going to a so. cal school where the weather is hot.

well, tanktops ARE for ******bags unless you’re at the beach or something.

Its frowned upon like V-necks or Tapout shirts.

I don’t even wear clothes to biology lecture and everyone stares at me for some reason. Let’s just say I get sensitive when we are doing a lab dissecting

^^^

There is no reason to be wearing clothes at a Biology lecture so I can understand you not wanting to wear anything. More power to you!

-_-

WastedxYears is mostly wrong… V-necks are legit and tanktops can be worn when it’s hot unless you’re really, really heavy set. Just don’t wear all white ones and you’ll be fine. And yes… WastedxYears is right about the tapout shirts lmao.

i wear them under hoodies.

Please no.

V-neck T-shirts. x.x What is the world coming to?

Yeah you should wear leather pants

V-necks are definitely legit. What’s wrong with all white ones?

^the tighter the better. add in an ed hardy shirt w/ a flaming dragon and you’re solid gold.

Fixed for clarity.

“V-necks are definitely legit. What’s wrong with all white ones?”

I’m assuming he was referring to white tank tops, which look kinda tacky.

As for v-necks, I’m split. They tend to work best for guys that are ripped, whereas they make out-of-shape guys look just plain bad.

^I see. Thank God I’m ripped.

Is there even a dress code in college?

I’m not sure if ripped would be the right word. I’d probably go more along the lines of muscular. If you’re scrawny or overweight, it just seems like v-necks are one of those types of shirts that magnifies it.

Low-cut v-necks are a no-no. They just look so girly to me.

Of course. You’ll receive a manual containing dress regulations with your orientation packet.

Aren’t you supposed to wear uniforms in college?

^yeah, the school colors

sucks to go to tufts

So every college has dress code? Such as no spaghetti straps, low cut shirts, etc… Like in high school?

^Yeah definitely. At most colleges, the spaghetti strap rule allows for a minimum of a 1" width straps. At Ivy League schools, the regulations are accordingly harsher, allowing for 1.5" width straps, minimum. Low cut shirts? Dream on.
