Is it the end of my life if I get a C in one of my classes?

Hi, I have a C in geometry and the rest of my other classes is A and B but my geometry grade is a really low C and exams are in a few days. If I do average and average out a C for my final grade is it the end of my life?!!?! Because C is not good enough for me and geometry is very difficult.

I do not know if you are joking or serious. Anyways, I will answer this in the case you are serious and I will assume you are a college student (not a high school senior looking into colleges). A C in geometry is certainly not the end of your life, although it obviously isn’t the best grade to get. Study hard for the upcoming exams and shoot for a higher grade. Get tutoring if possible and reach out to a friend/friends taking the class for help. Maybe you can do a study group! Good luck!

its not the end of your life, but it sort of ruins your shot at HYPSMC and basically the Ivies as well unless you are hooked, or had extenuating circumstances during this time.

That depends. Are you in high school? Is getting into a school with a <20% acceptance rate the only thing that matters to you in your life? If the answers to those two questions are yes, then this may be really bad for you. However unless you’re trying to get into the absolute most selective colleges, one C isn’t going to ruin your chances if you start getting mostly A’s.

Hi, I am very serious about this topic and I’m in high school of my sophomore year and junior soon. I usually get A’s and B’s for my classes but geometry is tough. I am not sure for my future college major or university and also getting A’s and B’s look good on my report card. Thank you for the response because I get scared thinking I get a C in geometry and that is not good enough.

Its not the end of the world. One C in a transcript full of A’s may look strange but it’s not going to count you out from good schools, Ivies maybe considering how INSANE those admissions are. Also, if youre not going into math/science then colleges aren’t going to be expecting all A’s in math.

I’m a mediocre geometry student, but I managed an A- with participation and consistent homework. I find it easy to get 100’s on hw and classwork packets since I have various resources to my disposal (notebook, calculator etc). Also depends on what you want to do in college, the college itself etc.

No, I mean, maybe you’re chances at a Top 50 school isn’t that great, but getting bad grades doesn’t mean you’ll get executed tomorrow… just think about all those kids who graduate with a 2.0 GPA, they’re still living and breathing.
