Is my course load too rigorous?

I am currently a sophomore in high school now. I am taking APUSH, and while I have been doing very well in my other classes, APUSH hasn’t been too hot. It’s my first AP class I’ve taken and I had a C quarter 2 and 3. Now as I am registering for classes next year, I will be taking 3 AP classes next year: AP Statistics, AP Human Geography, and AP English Language and Composition. AP Stats is 1 period for a year, but the other 2 are a 2 period class for a semester (there are 8 periods in a day). I will also be taking regular Chemistry and Honors Trig that semester as well. How can I make this workload a little less strenuous next year?

Can you take AP English as a one period class over a year?

You can still get a B in APUSH if you get a B in the last quarter. I wouldn’t recommend taking so many aps if you’re just struggling with one.

@Bobbybob444555 It’s not exactly that I’m “struggling”, I just didn’t have any prerequisite for it. I didn’t take regular history before taking it, but I wish I had. I’ve taken Honors English in 9th and 10th grade, and I’ve prepared for Stats by taking Honors Algebra II this year (4th quarter is an introductory stats course). The prerequisites I’ve taken have prepared me much better for next year.

@MYOS1634 Unfortunately I cannot.

You will definitely be challenged, but I don’t think your schedule is too much to handle. I am currently taking AP Language and Comp and it is not hard (but it depends on the teacher too). I would recommend talking with the teachers ahead of time as well as with students who have taken those classes before you make your decision.

It is also important to consider your extracurricular. If you work a job or play sports, it will be even harder to manage your grades.

AP Stats and AP Human Geog are easy AP’s, so the tough one will be AP English language which is roughly as hard as APUSH.

@KM1999 I play basketball, but it’s mostly 2nd quarter. It’ll go a little into 3rd quarter when I have all 3 of those classes, but it’ll be probably the end of the season. I work in the summer, not in the school year.

Considering AP Human is a pretty easy AP class, I think you will learn that you will be fine.

I think your schedule will be easy to handle. These are the classes I’m taking as a junior next year:
-AP Physis l
-AP English and Language COmposition
-Accelerated Precalculus Honors
-French 3 Honors
-AP Biology
-AP US History

I took AP Human Geography my freshman year. It was the easiest class out of all the APs I taken so far. I never did anything in that class,yet I ended with a 95(my school adds 10pts to AP classes so I got a 105 on my transcript) in the class.
