I just enrolled in Centennial High school in Frisco Tx … and moved from Saudi Arabia… for getting better education… I am currently a junior…and dont really know how the system goes here and all… but I was wondering… aiming for a college like MIT, UT Austin , Penn State, is my schedule good enough?.. I am still going to get into extra curricular activities as soon as school starts… so the classes i am currently taking are the following… AP psychology , AP physics B, AP human geography, technical theater 1, Health and communication ( are 2 classes i have to take) , US history, English 3 and pre ap pre calculus… and weight lifting…
and is a job important?

thanks… and anyone here going to centennial high school in frisco?

AP Psychology and AP Human Geography are generally the easiest of all APs. I definitely suggest taking an AP English instead. You might also want to consider taking an AP history or at least honors. Jobs are not important, although they do tend to make your application slightly stronger.

I didnt really have choice to take whatever Aps I wanted since I wasnt able to get my transcript with the previous school … but my counselor said I can take Ap bio and Ap chem next year if I wanted to… I was wondering If I can take an AP exam on my own… and without taking classes with my school…

I go to Wakeland :D. However, we don’t have Honors/PAP if an AP is offered for it. Our ISD does not tell us that you can take the test without taking the class, but you can. Take APUSH and try it, if you don’t like it, drop it.
