Is no news good news?

My daughter is still waiting for 2 schools to come through (Pitt and Syracuse). She’s already been accepted to Temple and Delaware. Pitt asked for her mid-year grades. No word from Syracuse. She applied regular decision. My thought is that the longer she waits the better her chances are because if she was rejected, wouldn’t they let her know already? True hypothesis? This is so much different than when I applied to college almost 30 years ago!!

@oldschool93 When did she apply to Pitt and when did she send in her mid-year grades? Pitt is rolling admissions and it, generally, takes about 2-3 weeks. Syracuse is not rolling admissions and will release their decisions, good or bad, at the end of March.

Applied to Pitt last Aug for fall 2017 admission. Got a notice a few weeks later that they wanted to see her 1st semester grades. Confirmed that Pitt got her grades 1-2 weeks ago. She did really well (high honors) with a full course load.
