After college I plan on going to medical school, and in order to go to a top medical school I want to have a great GPA from college. I am applying to Penn State Schreyers, but I don’t know if the honors college will be significantly harder than regular classes, and thus degrading my GPA. Also, if it is much harder, would medical schools rather see me go to Schreyers and get like a 3.6 or regular Penn State and get a 3.9?
Thanks!

the first order of business is getting accepted into schreyers. it’s extremely competitive.

In my opinion, this depends on the class. The honors courses could be harder but it could also be easier or equal in difficulty. Also, it may be harder but the subject matter is usually more interesting so I tend to not care about its difficulty. Unfortunately, I do not know about what med schools prefer since I am not starting med school admissions for another year.

But Arkhaik is right… get in first!! It is rather competitive.
