Is summer school just fluff?

So many people in my class are going to boarding schools like Exeter for summer school. But is it really that good or just a plain waste of time?

dunno, but the physics class i took at the local CC was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ez.

the quality of the classes vary by school. generally you can get credit for summer school though. i had a friend who took summer school for three summers and graduated after her junior year.

If they have 4.0’s and do AP’s, they really should do things more meaningful to them, unless the courses they’re taking over there are related to their interests.

I took Calculus I at the boarding school I go to. We don’t let outside students in, however, and the fee is very reasonable at $400, which includes room and board.

At my school, summer school is better than the school year as far as I’m concerned. You get more time to be with your friends and the learning environment is much more relaxed.

People at my school just take summer school because of how easy the courses are - they’re basically free mark boosters. Oh well, hopefully colleges will see that.

What about courses at Exeter or Andover?
