Is taking this class bad for my transcript?

These are currently my classes for my junior year of high school:

  1. empty
  2. oceanography
  3. AP Calc AB
  4. Spanish 3 Honors
  5. AP Calc BC
  6. APUSH
  7. AP Lang
  8. AP Physics 1

Would taking oceanography seem like I was taking an easy class or not challenging myself enough?

Are you on a block schedule, where Calc AB is taught in the Fall and BC in the Spring?

I don’t think it’s a bad idea at all- your schedule is really rigorous with that many APs, so don’t worry about having oceanography- it’s an interesting class.

It really doesn’t make a big impact on your transcript if you take either class.

do what makes you happy!!
not every class should be taken just to impress colleges…made that mistake sophomore year taking medical terminology when i thought i wanted to be in the medical field. lol.
if you do what you love & love what you do, it’ll work out in the end. promise :slight_smile:

If oceanography sounds fun and exciting to you, then take it! I think you’ll be fine.
