Is the IB program helpful should I join another program or take none?

Since the thread gods smiled benevolently upon the mere mortals and their deleterious wrath has been averted, perhaps the plebes can carry on with their mundane conversation. Of course with the solemn promise stay on topic and not wander off too much. Thank you for your uderstanding!

Back to the prosaic and banal world of highschool classes.

Another point to consider for the IB Diploma path is the availability of courses for both Calculus and Statistics. Their advanced classes are either HL Analysis with a focus on Calculus, of HL Applications more focused on Statistics. The issue is you can’t take both so most students will go with HL Analysis since Calculus is a prerequisite for many other college courses and has the aura of the pinnacle of high shool math. It is rare for IB students to have some coursework in statistics.

It’s not a huge issue for most, but it exemplifies how taking the IB Diploma path closes options for students because it is too rigid.

Thank you!
