Xiggi, ok…I watched your link and listened to Celine Dion. Since I haven’t seen the Voice yet, I can’t compare…
Nobody mentioned Joshua Davis. His song is the second favorite on itunes (behind Sawyer’s). The west coast hasn’t seen Joshua Davis yet.
I don’t remember a lot of the singers tonight. They must have sung the week I missed the shows and didn’t fully catch up. I thought Brian did well, although he doesn’t have the typical star look. I thought Kimberly was horrendous yet she got a standing O from all 4 judges. I obviously was not listening to the same thing. I still like India. and Sawyer.
Ok…I just heard Joshua Davis. I thought he was fantastic. What’s wrong you posters?
He was good, but he went early so we already forgot about him.
Lol!
Xiggi, Kimberly was quite good! She took command of that stage. If Kimberly is third best on Christina’s team…Christina is going to do just fine.
I like Kimberly, India, Joshua and Deanna…
That opening number was beyond strange. What a great solution for a bad makeup day, ladies.
We didn’t get to see Tonya at her best due to a really poor song choice by her coach Adam. Ditto for Nathan, as xiggi mentioned. Let the guy stand there and play his guitar. That’s what he does best! I’m beginning to agree with zig-zag that Adam purposely screws some of his teammates so they don’t garner more votes than his personal favorites.
I’m with dstark… Loved Joshua! Thought his performance was the most memorable AND marketable of all tonight. His vocals and musicality are always impeccable. He’s such a pro. Blake letting him go was the biggest blunder of the whole season, imho.
Thought Brian and Rob had good nights. Their songs seemed to really suit them.
Kimberly: Do not like the tutu, do not like her stage movement, do not like her personality, but I love her vocal ability even though it’s way too over-the-top much of the time. She is a vocal acrobat.
Lexi’s song choice was way too ambitious for her vocal ability. To me, she should be singing crossover Latin pop, in both English and Spanish. What a great example of teammate sabotage.
I liked India tonight but this may have been my least favorite performance of hers.
Liked Deanna.
I wish the performers picked their own songs for this, the first week of the live rounds. Why should their coaches control their destiny or manipulate the votes with lousy song choices?
DS, I did not think there were negatives about Joshua. He will be in the final two in Adam’s team. Deanna being the other.
Otoh, I really thought that the performance of Kimberly was pretty annoying, but I never liked her much. I think she has zero chance to win as all she can do is belt songs. The high notes tonight were strident. But it really does not matter as soon as we get to the final eight. As I said, they could send three home from each team. The bottom two of each team should hardly be surprising, safe and except for Blake as only two seem safe and the bottom three pretty equal.
Zig-zag?
DS, are you really liking the part before she grabbed the mike…

I probably should upgrade my sound card.
Over the two nights my favorites were Sawyer and India. Some of the girls start to blend together … Many have great vocal chops but their personalities don’t allow them to stand out, sadly. I didn’t like Nathan, but liked Mia. I like Hannah but her voice seems nasally to me so it wears on me. I do like Meagan, but it may be partly because she looks like a doll. I also like the blue eyed older guy on Adam’s team, but I think Sawyer will blow him away in 'tween votes. India seemed emotional tonight and I did hear that extra vibrato but in the end my eyes were teared up so I will overlook that.
Xiggi, I do like Kimberly before she grabbed the mike. I like her sound. Don’t go by me.
My opinion is it is going to be Joshua and either Deaana or Brian from Adam’s team. Sawyer and Mia from Pharrell’s team. India and Kimberly from Christina’s team. Blake’s team…I guess Corey and Meghan.
That’s my final 8 1/2.
I hope the coaches don’t screw up and let the singers sing appropriate songs.
I don’t think the public likes India as much as I do. India has the wrong coach. She would have been better off with Pharrell.
I think Adam’s team is ok.
I like Jshain’s post #2508.
@jshain - I love Sia, the opening number. Kids turned me on to her years ago. She never shows her face when she performs. Very talented songwriter having written hits for Rhianna, Christina Aguilera, Britney SPears, and others.
So her name is Sia? I was starting to remember Cousin It from the Munsters. Or wondering if she was having a really bad acne day.
Maybe she doesn’t show her face now but she hasn’t always covered it up. Not denying her talent. I don’t get why some performers take such “drastic measures” to be different?
I really think Nathan has been thrown under the bus several times. I don’t think anyone should ever choose Adam as a coach in any circumstances. Adam has really stacked this for Deanna to beat out Nathan, IMO.
Looking at this list, I think Sawyer is clearly in the lead to win it all. http://www.popvortex.com/music/charts/itunes-voice-rankings.php

I think her story is about having such a stage fright that she can perform only when hidden (somewhat) and perhaps not see the audience very well. I also believe that she is dropping that part of her act. For a while I thought covering her face with a vintage abat-jour was part of the promotion of “chandelier!”
LOL, xiggi.
Xiggi, LOL!
