Hannah can go home now.
^^I have to agree. I think that Blake has lost his mind with the ridiculously effusive comments.
Maybe its my mood today but didn’t care for Brian either. He seemed to lose his breath/die out while singing.
I missed Hannah, but seems it was a bad song choice for Brian. Why challenge him with Sting when that’s not his wheel house?
India looks much, much better tonight. More approachable and relaxed. Didn’t like the song when she hit the verse bit to me a big improvement.
So the judges just give fluff comments now?
Deanna Johnson was awful…Blake is saying it’s a technical problem,
Uhhhhhh…
From reading these last few posts…is everybody going to be sent home tonight?
Are they going to bring in last year’s finalists to fill in?
Doesn’t sound good.
Mia was fabulous, I wish I had a hook for Deana…in fact they’ve all been off tonight except Mia.
Love, Love, Love Sawyer. He’s the only one I’ve cared for tonight. He did a great job at putting his own spin on a well loved and cherished song. Hard to believe he just turned 16!
Sawyer was really good. I haven’t been impressed with anyone else so far.
dstark, I liked India. I honestly think that she has the talent to sing in virtually any genre.
Sawyer singing Imagine was fun. The arrangement was interesting and he recovered well when he lost that note.
Alwaysamom, ok …cool. Maybe I will watch.
I am tired of listening to Imagine though.
Sawyer and Mia are the only two so far to me who gave strong performances.
I think that was the best performance that Rob has given.
I think Koryn did a really solid job tonight.
I think koryn did a great job. Her energy and presence were really impressive.
Agree about Koryn. A very good performance.
Dstark, I think you will like tonight’s performances. Be warned that Adam is rolling out his bus BIIIIIG time. Brian did as well as he could with a strange song choice. Poor Deanna got another church lady song.
Pharrell is and has been the best coach this year. By a mile. Even if he looks 15 years younger than he is!
Had Sawyer picked Adam, you’d hear him trying to reach for a falsetto --which based on tonight, he could NOT. Yep, Sawyer fans, the boy will not hit a high note. And thank God for that! Perhaps this year is one when musicality trumps the belters and screamers. Hope Sawyer and Joshua keep improving and sent those Christina robots home.
I won’t tell more to save some for the West Coasters who do not have satellite feeds. Just look for a bit of AI cross-over. Rob tried his luck at duplicating this year best performance from AI. Judge if he matched the mesmerizing rendition.
PS Jshain will be happy. India, for once, matched the syrupy praise she has gotten earlier. She finally traded technical prowess for stage presence – and nailed her vibrato better than a previous weeks.
By the way, the producers are stacking the decks again. Sacrificial lambs at the start and favorites at the end. Safe singers in the middle.
It would take a lot of fan support to save Hannah, Deanna, and Brian. Lucky only two go home. Adam is really in his savior phase.
I don’t know how far he’ll make it but I do love Josh.
