When I watched Monday night’s show, I was flipping channels between DWTS and The Voice. I basically watched both shows without missing ANY singing and/or dancing. What I ended up missing were ALL the judge’s comments, back stories, and commercials, except for those commercials that overlapped each other.

Edit: I am not a big fan of Chris and don’t think he sings his specialty, opera, all that well. Tony also doesn’t really do it for me. I’m kind of hoping that they both go home. I also wouldn’t be too upset if Juliet doesn’t make the final 4. I am kind of thinking Jamar is the front-runner, so kathiep and I are on completely different pages.

Katrina has a great voice. If Adam had split his vote 50/50 she would have won.
Anybody think looks/body type as related to chances of success in a world of “beautiful people” skewed the vote?

I wish Adam would have split his vote and allowed Katrina to win. I think CeLo had the strongest two candidates and I wish both could be in the finale. Juliet is great, but it depends on her song choice. Jamar is consistently great.

I kind of like how the judges get to put their weight in if they want to but I do agree with you PackMom about how a certain look would sway a vote, but that’s true of any of us. That’s why the beginning of this show is so cool when all they see is a voice.

Can’t believe I picked all four right! I don’t think I have a clear favorite on the winner though.

I agree, Packmom. I also wish Adam hadn’t stacked the votes in favor of Tony. However, it does my heart good to know that “America” would have picked Katrina. So, in this case, most people don’t think that body type trumps talent.

I’m rooting for Jermaine at this point. He just seems so strong, both vocally and in his presentation.

Until Monday nights performance I thought Katrina was the favorite to win the whole thing, but her song selection and performance was her worse of the season - whereas Tonys was his best of the season. At this point Jermaine is at the top of my list but I would be ok w/ Tony or Chris. I am not a fan of Juliet. My favor for this season was Sara Hill.

I dont think I can go another season of the show w/ Christina in her ridiculous outfits flaunting her girls for all to see.

I love Killing Me Softly, and I thought she did a great job with it. And THANK YOU CeeLo for crediting Roberta Flack, who wrote the song and was the first one to have a hit with it. I didn’t see the show last night, and I’m really disappointed to hear that Katrina was eliminated. I think that she has a special voice.

Unlike most here, I actually thought Juliet’s performance on Monday was riveting.

Me, too. But then Adam’s two semi-finalists are the weakest of the bunch, so I didn’t lose much sleep when Katrina wasn’t picked by Adam. America definitely thought that Katrina did a better job…by a little bit.

I would have had the hardest time being Christina (for many reasons)–but her two singers (Lindsay and Chris) did fabulous jobs in their own genre. It’s like asking–which is better: an apple or an orange? I don’t know!

I thought that the Jamar/Juliet match up was very difficult also. I’ve liked Jamar all the way through. But CeeLo is right in that Juliet just MURDERED that song last Monday! Looks like America agreed with CeeLo.

Jermaine and Erin…I liked them both, but America definitely preferred Jermaine.

Time to get kathiep’s prediction for the overall winner…the woman is on a ROLL!

lacrossemom, I was just about to post the same thing! After Chris sang she started yelling “this is a REAL man” - clearly insulting Tony. She really HATES him. I wonder if he liked Brittany and not her when they were young?

I kind of wanted him to tell her off when she was railing about his song - America would probably crown him the winner on the spot!

I don’t get the fuss over Chris. He doesn’t have that great a voice. It is very good, but it is not special for opera or even for the Josh Groban stuff he does. It lacks the full richness I would expect.

I think Juliette was too restrained - CeeLo had the passion that Juliette lacked when they did their duet. To me, it highlighted the fact that she doesn’t quite pull off the rock songs she favors.

I like Jermaine a lot, but I think Tony would is more marketable. I would be happy if either of them won.

Christina is embarrassing herself. I’d love to know what Tony did to inspire that wrath. Maybe she is just mad that she sang better as a 13 year old than she does now.

My 19 year old son walked in when Christina was singing with Chris and said, “What is she wearing??” I wondered if she changed because she fell out of her dress. I thought all of the singers did pretty well tonight.

My vote: Tony OR Jermaine, Juliet or Chris. My husband thinks Jermaine is the best singer.

Christina was totally off her rocker tonight. What does she have against Tony? Unbelievable. Unless there is something about him that she knows and no one else does, she needs to get a grip.

I detested that scenery-chewing thing she and Chris did. I detested her song that Chris did. His rendition of You Lift Me Up, was very good, though.

Jermaine was at his best in the duet with Blake. I really like him when he uses some humor and dances a bit in his performances, exhibits some soul. I find his “serious” mode a bit deadly.

Freebird was a great song for Juliet. I would have liked to hear more of it. I thought her duet with CeeLo was awful, and I didn’t like the song of his that she performed at all.

Tony is a great performer, no doubt. I just don’t particularly like most of the songs he’s performed. The Yesterday duet was lovely.

I really don’t know who I think should win. Katrina. :)

I’m not a fan of Juliet but I’m no fan generally of raspy voiced rocker chicks. She always sounds a bit off to me - the beginning of Freebird seemed completely off.

Well, it’s unanimous the Christina lacks any redeeming value. Is it too late to hope she might grow up? I thought Chris did surprisingly well - song choices that the non-opera public will enjoy. I did not like Tony’s song choice. I don’t think Juliet should have chosen Crazy for her solo. She didn’t do it badly - but doesn’t she know the four coaches did it in Season 1 and did it to perfection? Can’t top that so just reminds us that her version was lesser. I FFWDed through her duet with CeeLo - so 'nuf said on that one.

Agree that the Yesterday duet was lovely.

On the West Coast here, so haven’t seen the full show yet.

Next season: will anyone pick Christina for coach? lol, I guess the ones where she’s the only one turning her chair around.
