Usually the first night has several singers that I wow over, but not last night. Only Lauren, the second contestant who sang the Jewel song impressed me as someone who was different. She’s the one who chose music over dental school mentioned by @carolnamom2boys. I did think the first guy was talented, but he didn’t make me weak in the knees as he did with Alicia:)
She was my favorite @2VU0609 . Did not over sing , scream or over perform .
The only performance that cracked the iTunes Top-200 was Lauren Duski. Her song You Were Meant For Me is currently at #162.
I just watched Lauren’s performance. I really hope she goes far. Americana type music is her lane.
I, too, liked Lauren’s performance and am looking forward o hearing more. A friend’s son auditioned so I’ll be watching tonight. He and his friend played at our Christmas party and everyone was wowed. Hope he does/did well!

@jshain, he wasn’t on tonight. His name is Julien Martinez. Hopefully, he’ll be on tomorrow. I wonder if they show the auditions in chronological order or if they mix them up. His mother didn’t know when his audition would be aired.
