Is "The Voice" Your New Vice?

I thought the country singer who sang a Cher song could be a sleeper.

@jonri - That guy was from Flowery Branch, GA-- home of the Falcons training camp. Could mean that kid will choke in the second half…

LOL!!!

Gotta find some humor in that fiasco… :frowning:

I think Kawan has the potential to go far.
The curly-haired blonde girl was cute but had some pitch problems.
I thought the first girl who sang “I’m Every Woman” was very beauty pageant-y.
I am interested to see what the boy who sang Cher does next.

After watching the auditions on NBC.com after hearing the samples on iTunes, I probably liked Troy Ramey the best. He sang Wild World, a “clever” song choice, and he did a good job with it. He and Josh West, the guy with the Tiny Tim hair who sang Ordinary World, both got 4-chair turns. Definitely didn’t think the latter deserved all 4 judges to turn around.

It is still early in the season but to me, right now, Adam seems to have the weakest team.

I liked Kawan and Taylor ( country singer who sang “Cher”). Previously, I have liked Lauren (first night girl who sang Jewel). I am finding this season to be somewhat disappointing so far. Shirley Jones’ grandson seemed like such a nice guy, but I think he’s young and they are using him to fill the celebrity relative slot, so he likely won’t last long. Think back to last year with Candance Cameron’s daughter and a few seasons back when Kailey Cuoco’s sister appeared; Kailey’s sister was actually pretty good, IMO.

I was a little disappointed in the Cassidy kid. I had such a crush on his uncle David back in the day!

Agree with Joni. Taylor could be a surprise. He fills the male country artist niche this season which, so far, is lacking. No one in the iTunes Top-200 from last night’s auditions at this time with 2 hours to go.

Well, Believe–the Cher song–is #197 right now. Only one from last night in top 200, albeit just barely. Still…I’ m glad he was rewarded for a gutsy song choice.

I’m finding almost all of them competent but uninspiring.

At the moment I have Jchosen, Lilli, Lauren, Troy, and Casi on my team. I’ve already made a couple of swaps, and will likely make more.

I agree that the guy who sang the Cher song was interesting. It will be interesting to see what he does next.

As of 11:27 Pacific Tiime, Believe was up to #180. Still no other Voice songs in the top 200.

Troy was just at #175 when I just checked. My team at the moment:

JChosen
Lauren Duski
Autumn Turner
Casi Joy
Jesse Larsen

Not impressed this evening

Malik was heartwarming.

Heartwarming story, but not the most talented singer.

Huh? Do you mean Taylor?

Yes, Taylor… sorry Jonri. Listened to the auditions on iTunes. Agree, no standouts.

Also agree no standouts.

I liked Josh Hoyer a lot.
