I haven’t been participating on this thread much but thought I’d add my thoughts. I really like the women this season. My favorites are Stephanie, Lauren, and Vanessa. I’m really not feeling Hunter though I know many like him. I like Brennley but don’t think she should be as high as she is.
I think Aliyah should be on the Disney Channel. She just seems perfect to be on one of their sitcoms. She’s all cute and perky and can sing too.
I am glad Chris and Hunter got through. I was happy also that Brennley made it, and also Lauren. I personally love Vanessa, but I also worry she is too serious so fans that vote don’t connect to her. My 3 are still in it, but my total points is so far behind jshain I will just listen to the music.
By the way, I was sad to remember about Christina Grimmie. She had an amazing voice and range.

I thought Adam’s team number was pretty awful, as most of the group numbers are. Blake’s was a much better performance, but a strange song. Not surprised by the one who went home. Mark has potential, but he better step up his game next week.
I finally watched yesterday’s show. I really think Mark was a huge yawn. I hope he departs. I noticed that Shania had totally mastered the art of saying nothing while not being obviously negative when commenting on his performance, LOL.
Not feeling Hunter. I really like Lilli, and I hope she gets a break this week given her illness.
I am not a fan of Brennley’s. I love the song she sang, and at times she was good–I caught some hints of the timbre of Tammy Wynette, in a good way–but she really needs to drop the hackneyed country mannerisms like that fake catch in her voice in order to be really good, IMHO. And let’s face it, as a 15 yr old, she hasn’t the faintest idea what that song is about. She’s faking being a grownup country singer. I think they could find some things that are more in her emotional range. It would have been much more interesting to hear Lauren sing that song.
Troy’s insistence on NOT doing the big notes of Free Fallin’ annoyed the hell out of me, although generally I like him. I wouldn’t be heartbroken if he left, although I would rather be rid of Mark.

Actually I “only” have 962,000 points. I kept my three - Chris, Lilli, and Mark, barely.
I don’t think I got any points when I opened the app yesterday, but I am not sure. I did get some today.
I only have 533,000 points, but I don’t open the app except on show nights and I don’t do the other things that garner points. I still have Lauren, Chris, and Hunter on my team.
I gather Troy left? Not surprised, although I really wish it was Mark.

Weird, I was looking at my points on my team screen. When I clicked on the leaderboard, it is now showing me at 1,043,500.
Awesome, musicmerit. I have a measly 536,000 points, but the app just gave me 65,000 points just now (Wednesday). I assume those are the points for the three people I still have? (Chris, Hunter and Vanessa)
Anybody watching tonight? My local NBC station had technical difficulties during much of Stephanie’s performance, so I only saw the beginning and the end.

I liked him on earlier shows. Today not so much. Listening to the next one up (Vanessa) she sounded good.

Lauren is amazing
I didn’t like Jesse’s song choice… 3 weeks in a row now. Thought Vanessa had a smart song choice and sounded really good. I am beginning to think the 2 lovebirds, Blake and Gwen, will be battling it out in the finals with their country artists Lauren and Brennley.
Hunter sounds the same every week. He’s getting a little boring to me. Vanessa was great. Loved Lauren. She makes it seem so effortless.
