Anyone watch on Monday 10/7 and am I the only one who thinks this season has really good artists?
I watched and added some to my on deck list. I now have 12 on deck waiting to replace my original 12. I jumped up to the 200s by keeping my original team and using the app while watching.
musicmerit, Your system is a good one and you are disciplined to stay the course. Wish I could say the same about me. I could not participate online last night. As such, dropped 16 places. It will get worse for me tonight because I replaced one of my original team members with a new artist after last night’s show.
I am hoping Gracee Shriver performs tonight. She is the last one from my interest list who has yet to audition.
I watched the first hour last night and as usual, really enjoyed the artists who got the fewest chairs turning. I’m not sure what that says about my taste in music, but I know what I like I guess! Last night I liked Brennan, Brooke and EllieMae. I have abandoned playing along but will cheer the players here on.
I see Nick Jonas is replacing Gwen next season as a coach.
Joe Jonas did well as a coach on the Australian version. Nick should be good. NBC really waited until the last minute to announce considering that the Blinds for Season 18 start taping 10/14.
I’m glad to see Gwen leave. I’ve nothing against her, but her banter with Blake–and Kelly’s jokes about their relationship–are getting on my nerves.
Also the whole Gwen pressing her button just because Blake did (and vice versa) is also annoying,at least to me.
I like Gwen and I like Blake but I don’t like them on the show together. Kelly is the one who gets on my nerves. I think John has finally provided some honest and constructive criticism to contestants who weren’t selected, which is welcomed by me at least.
For those wondering why Gwen is departing after just 1 season (even though NBC replaces coaches quite frequently at times), she starts her Just A Girl show in Las Vegas during the Spring airing.
I was out of town and missed the first 30 minutes of Monday and all of Tuesday. Will try to catch up this week. I was really surprised that the last guy on Monday (way too early for me to remember names!) chose Blake.
I love Kelly. IMO, with Adam gone and thus the Adam/Blake banter, and with the total lack of personality of Gwen and John, Kelly is overdoing it a little, but most likely by instruction from the producers. I like Gwen and John as people and they are probably good coaches, but they are a little dull.

I watched this week’s shows today. I am on vacation which makes me in a good mood so I like all of them!
I kept thinking the name Ricky Braddy sounded familiar so I googled him. He was on American Idol 10 years ago. I don’t think he made it very far, but for some reason I remember the name.
He was good.
He was cut at the top 36. Interestingly, those were the days when American Idol pretended that LGBT contestants did not exist (this was Adam Lambert’s season which was won by Kris Allen). How things have changed in 10 years.
Blake landed 2 really solid artists, both named Ricky, this week. Besides Ricky Braddy he got Ricky Duran on Monday’s Blind, who attended Berklee College of Music. I think both will do really well this season.
So all teams are full. Now I to the duet challenges. I’m impressed with John and usher coaching

Just watched the clips. I love Melinda Rodriguez’s tone, range, phrasing— the whole package. Almost as much as Khalea. Kelly lucky to have gotten the save. She would have gotten lost on John’s team. His team is loaded! Was disappointed with Gracee. That vibrato was downright annoying.
