jym626, If you meant the first song on Team Legend than that would be Khalea. I really like her but did not like her song choice. I think, at best, she gets Saved by her coach.
Two little lies (IMO) from Monday’s Playoffs:
Blake: Re. Kat, saying he immediately liked her voice in the Blinds. Yeah sure… that’s why he turned VERY late (followed by girlfriend Gwen who hit her button dozens of times after him in the Blinds).
Kelly: Re. Alex, saying he would be in the Finals. I don’t see him over taking either Will or Max. I thought this was Alex’s weakest performance of the season.
I thought Cali laid the biggest egg of the night and is in trouble. I don’t think she gets Blake’s save over Ricky Duran or Ricky Braddy or Gracee or Kat. For me, Blake has the toughest team to predict who gets the votes AND the Save. There is a good chance I won’t have anyone from his team in my Top-3.
I think Hello Sunday is in trouble with the voters but probably gets Kelly’s Save.
I think Kyndal and Rose get voted through and Joana or Jake gets Gwen’s Save.
I am curious to see if musicmerit puts Will in her Top-3, assuming he gets voted through…
I still have 7 with 50 days so I may only have 3 left. I used to really like Kat’s original sound, but now it seems every song she does sounds the same. I am not sure how I will rank them if I end up with more than 3 tonight.
I may have read between the lines, but I got the idea that the audience votes this year will be on the app and not on Twitter. That’s good for those of us that don’t do Twitter. But, of course, I may have misinterpreted what I heard.

Blake knows how to say the right thing to get the audience to vote for his team member. Hope the others do as well, and it a real competition of the singers and not the coaches.

There were several contestants that I didn’t think performed well on the live shows. The main one being rock Jake. I really liked him before but not so much this week. Makes one wonder how much “editing” goes into the recorded rounds.
I read that last night’s Live playoff was NOT auto-tuned. I have not seen the results show yet but seeing strong performances from some of the underdogs on Monday will surely shake things up a bit!
I am still in the 100s on the leaderboard. I put Kat, Katie, and Rose in my top 3 since I have had them for 51 days. Will was also at 51, but I didn’t move him up since he was not one of the top picks from the votes this week. I do not see a clear leader in this group. Next week will be interesting!

First time in 17 seasons (if that’s how long the App has been around) a) no one from Blake’s team in my Top-3 and b) all ladies in my Top-3. This will be interesting to see how Kat does versus Marybeth, since we both have the same other 2 artists in our Top-3. My only other consideration was Ricky Duran.
The fact that you are in the 100s without tweeting probably means you would be in the Top-10 if you had been tweeting. I’m currently 16th.

You have to admit Hello Sunday was surprisingly good last night.
Did you believe Blake when he said he had a strategy in having Gracee compete? In other words, he may have preferred to have her on his team, but may have chosen someone else, believing she could win the playoff?
I have not been playing along since the first week, but I have Katie and Rose in my top three, too. I added Jake Hoot just because I think country needed to be represented.
I like Ricky Duran but his song choices lately have not been good for a competition, imo. Still, he has a great voice and the voters’ support, so he should go far.
Still like my top 3. I don’t get the Kat love.
I don’t get how Joana (opened the show on Team Gwen) made it to the top-13. Pitch problems, breath problems, stage presence issues…
Well, in Joana’s defense (though I’m not a fan) she WAS running around a lot. It’s very hard to run around, dance, and sing at the same time and still have enough breath to stay on pitch. Almost not fair to compare that to someone who just stands there with the mic on the stand. That’s why I don’t think up tempo songs are a good choice for a competition. They’re good for PERFORMANCE but not for SINGING.
Up to this point of the show, I thought Kat had the best performance of anyone before her.
Joana has had pitch issues in every performance this season, IMO, even when she wasn’t working so hard.
Really enjoyed John Legend’s coaching session with Katie and the band.
Cali looked beautiful tonight.
Kelly’s lapels are going to give me nightmares…
