Wow, CamWess and Purple Rain again. Painful to listen to. If you can’t knock it out of the park, don’t even try. Same thought with Micah and Chasing Cars. Great song, disappointing take on it.
I rarely post here, as my knowledge as so limited. I did like Toneisha better than Scott or Todd. Waiting for thunderstorm.
Welcome bookworm! Not sure who you might be referring to on Scott. The other 2 guys you might be referring to, but did not mention, are Camm and Micah.
Show ‘officially’ starts at 9 PM Eastern tonight.
Todd will probably win, at least based on his iTunes ranking. Hope I’m wrong. I would much prefer to see Thunderstorm or Toneisha be victorious.
For me and what I hope:
1.Thunderstorm 2. Toneisha
3. Todd seems well suited to Christian music success.
I have a sentimental pull for Toneisha. Thunderstorm can be next
I kinda like that in the first song Kelly is au natural- no makeup, dark roots growing out of her straggly hair … really shows the shelter at home. In contrast Shakira had hair and makeup done to the hilt. Such a contrast.
One hour and 50 minutes of filler. Could someone give me the App trivia questions so I can be studying them all before the show starts out here on the west coast?
Dont know about the app trivia questions, sorry. But some of the filler stuff (like the curling and synchronized swimming, even though it was a tip to the olympics postponement, was silly.
We are down to the final 3…
@musicmom1215 I am impressed you nailed the top 3.
Major problems with Blakes mike. Interesting to watch the contestants faces.
Not my favorite, but a deserving winner.
The others were robbed. Winner is good but should NOT have won IMO
I’m disappointed but, oh well. The voters had their say.
ITunes a good indicator.
Congrats also to musicmerit, who had the winner in her Top-3— several weeks ago and probably even longer than that!
I enjoyed seeing the playbacks of the judges performing together from past seasons. I almost forgot about CeeLo.
I also enjoyed the clip of past contestants and the little kids group singing What the World Needs Now. I’m a sucker for kids singing.
Speaking of kids, who were all those kids in Blake’s home at the end? I think there were four. Does Gwen have that many? Does Blake have kids of his own?
The duets and group numbers sound great tonight. They should stick with this format, even after they get back to a stage show!
I only had Todd in my top 3 because I picked all the day one auditions and kept them until they got eliminated. I was going for top points in the app for artists with the highest day count. It did not help me end in the top 1,000 though. I did get 100,000 points for having the winner.
Congrats again musicmerit for having the winner in your Top-3!
I had 2nd and 3rd place finishers in my Top-3 but unclear which artist between Toneisha and Thunderstorm was 2nd and which one was 3rd?
All 3 in the Top-3 were 4-chair turns. Don’t remember when that happened before, if ever. All 3 had the same first initial, a ‘T‘.
I went from 9th place on the leaderboard to 41st, not getting those 100,000 points. I officially declare you the CC winner, reclaiming your crown, since you don’t tweet!
It was nice to see that 3 of the Top-5 were African American artists. (Well represented on American Idol this season also.)
Stay well everyone!
I don’t really watch America’s Got Talent but Archie Williams’ performance of an Elton John classic was very moving. As I said earlier here, if you can’t knock it out of the park with an iconic song, don’t even try. Purple Rain, Chasing Cars were very disappointing to me. But, Archie - a real home run! Elton was very moved .
