Cool, MOWC! Hope s/he does well. I’m looking forward to the blind auditions: best part of the show.
I’m going to miss Usher and Shakira, though. Nice to see CeeLo. Chestina…ugh.

Cool MOWC - you’ll have to let us know when they are on - or how they do!

I found last season that I enjoyed the auditions part of the show but they lost me once the competition started.

I’ve never watched it- guess I better start!

Oh, I hope that mess on CeeLo’s head is just temporary. MOWC, keep us posted on your neighbor!

Fun show tonight. Also will miss usher. Shakira not so much.

I really enjoy this show. Its the only thing I watch other than news, weather , and sports.

Sadly, it drives home just how difficult it is to make a living as an entertainer. These people and kids come out of the woodwork from jobs at Starbucks, as hairdressers–you name it–and they are stunningly talented.

Agree with jym626 and dadx… good opening show. So far, I like Adam’s team the best with Donna Allen and James Wolpert.

It was refreshing to see Chestina keep her “Volkswagen Bugs parked in the garage” tonight!

LOL, me too.

Liking this new Christina.

Is it just the magic of television or has Christina lost a lot of weight? She looked much slimmer to me.

PackMom, According to her on Leno, she lost over 25 lbs. She not only looked better but she “sounded” better (more likeable)!

Yes, I may have to stop calling her Chestina.
She was MUCH better last night.

Matt Schuler is a friend of a friends son! I’m going to be rooting for him!

^Matt Schuler was the one who turned all four chairs in record time! He was really good. Seems like a great kid!!

There were some excellent “chair-turners” last night. I loved the woman from Jamaica. On the other hand, I really didn’t understand why Blake turned so fast for that one singer. I think his quickness caused the others to follow. The judges are all so funny. I love the interaction between them.

saw Blake on tv today, he said celos head tats are not permanant

I’m beginning to find Blake’s thing with young girls a little too weird.
I hope that Adam doesn’t take all the great singers he has this time and lumber them with awful, tuneless song choices the way he has in past seasons.

Adam turned really fast for the singer from Samoa, then acted like he really didn’t want him on his team, but the singer chose him anyway.

Ceelo was funny with the boots fascination - “Did you get those boots at Aldo?”

The good news so far? No untalented Betty la Fea with a soft voice and annoying knee-downs. Yet!

The bad news? We have seen the coaches battle over people they will probably send home during the first rounds. If that lady from Jamaica is the best they had to pick from, we are in for a rather poor show. So far, there were lots of aging rethreads and very raw young talent. Since those shows are abundantly scripted, they might have kept the talented people for the next weeks in order to crucify the even weaker X-factor.

Some of the people who sang on AGT 2013 should have set their sights on The Voice and would have been shoo-ins.

The show is full of hard-luck stories, and yet is always uplifting and not peddling victimhood at all.

I am beginning to see why Blake Shelton gets picked. Part of it is that he has a persona that screams out to you that working with him would be a lot of fun. And now that he has a track record, the contestants are beginning to take that into consideration as well (rightly or not). They, of course, aren’t there just to have fun, but rather to try to win.

I can’t believe the blonde girl had never performed before.

I have only been able to watch a little so far this season, but I think Christina looks great. That short, black dress with the high neck was very sexy without her “girls” falling out. Maybe she has a new stylist to go with her new, slender body.
