Wow!!!

The bet was 2 to 6.

Now it is 2 to 4. :)

Wow!!!

The bet was 2 to 6.

Now it is 2 to 4. :)

Jonri, thanks for the updates.

I don’t know…Hallelujah is one ABOVE Ray’s song right now. Nobody else in the competition has had a song that ranked that high and/or one that’s hung on that long.

And dstark, you’re welcome for the updates.( I waited until someone asked.)

Xiggi, if Matt sings well and Jacquie is Jacquie, it is going to come down to

Matt and Jacquie vs Cole and Will.

I think Matt and Jacquie are better looking than Cole and Will. :)

Matt didn’t do well with his song, but even if he had, the song was really unappealing. There’s no way people would have bought it on itunes. The singing and the song both have to be good in order to do well on the chart.
I’m betting that Will takes it this year. I would not have guessed this at the beginning of the season, but he has improved so much and his song choices have really served him well. I suspect it come down to Will and jacquie at the end- so xiggi and dstark should be able to continue their battle to the end!

James may surprise me though. He certainly looked good last night!

dstark, does that translate that you think Tessanne and James will be the next to go?

I really like James. I think he’s very talented, and, at the risk of sounding like a dirty old lady, I think he’s kinda sexy in a Clark Kent kind of way. lol

Jonri, that is right. If everybody sings well, yes, I think Tesanne and James are going to go next. I was wrong about Caroline :(.

How about you?

I dont have a crush on James. :).

I don’t have a favorite, but I think Cole should go before James. So I think Tessanne and Cole should go next.

I just don’t think Cole is that good. While I don’t think Blake Shelton is going to be able to coach him to a win, I really think that Blake has gotten him this far and got Ray to last night is amazing. Cole was just plain AWFUL in the “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” song.

Watch Blake give Cole another country song. He’ll get a certain number of votes because he’s the ony country singer left now --or should I say the only person singing country songs left now–and I think some of those voters are really voting for Blake Shelton. Shelton got recording contracts for the Swann Brothers and some of the other country acts and his fan base knows that. Plus, he’s helping himself and other country artists by broadening their fan base.

It’s as if they are saying to themselves “If we want to see more country music on television and have it more widely distributed then we’ve got to download the country songs from The Voice every week and show the business guys that it’s a lucrative market with lots of cross-over appeal.”

Jonri, I’m “betting” that James goes home before Cole does. However I don’t disagree with you on the “Blake factor”, helping give his artists a bump in the voting that they otherwise may not have gotten. I DO think he makes good song choices for his teammates, that resonates with the voters and stays within the limits of each singer’s ability.

I agree on the Blake factor, but disagree completely about Cole. As I’ve said before, I love his voice. I thought he sounded great last night.

I missed the show last night and just watched in on Hulu. I was ecstatic when my #1 fave, Will, was saved first, and my #2 fave, Cole, was saved second.

Of course, what I was really dying to know was where Caroline was accepted, and where else she applied! :D

Caroline was accepted at Indiana University.

I agree that when some people vote for Blake’s artists they are really voting for Blake.

Maybe you can say the same thing for the other coaches…except for Ceelo. :)

I am very fond of Ceelo. But he doesn’t seem to have the same kind of fan following.

Glad to hear Caroline has been accepted at a school with a great music program. :)

As for Danielle’s comfort level, that was obviously due to Blake’s philosophy of finding a safe grove and sticking to it. I agree that she has a great voice, though.

Cole did well with his first song tonight.

Matthew’s choice was a One Direction song? Really, of all the songs to choose? I guess he’s playing to the pre-teen girls. Mediocre performance.

I agree that One Dimension song was a poor choice. There was no depth to the song at all.

I missed Coles first song but wasn’t wowed by the second one.

I thought Jacquie rocked it…

Humm, DStark will not be thrilled by this first hour. Matt continues to slide into commercial mediocrity. Actually, he had one good song/week, and that is about it. Without a superb safe, he will go home. Deservedly.

Jacquie is a one >>high<< note pony. Aguilera keeps on feeding her screamers’ songs, and it is getting old. Just as old as the judges utter non-sense after each performance.

So far only Will and Cole have been themselves tonight. And the others pretty darn awful as they lumber through poor choices.

I’m not a regular viewer but am watching tonight. Totally underwhelmed.

I hope Will wins. I hope Matthew and Tessanne go home this week.
