Ironically, Matthew’s “Hallelujah” is ranked higher on itunes downloads right now than any of the other songs from this season on The Voice.

Which raises another subject. Does anyone here know how the $ works? Do the contestants get any part of the profits from their downloads on itunes or does all the $ go to the producers of The Voice?

I was trying to figure out how the voting works, and found this…which IMO TOTALLY CHANGES who is most likely to win. That is, if I understand what I’m reading. Can anyone translate?

If I am reading this correctly, the winner won’t be chosen based solely on votes cast after the next to last show, but will include as votes each song from The Voice purchased on itunes, no matter when it was purchased.

Is that right? If it is…than the results may be very, very different than they would be if they were only based on the singing done on the next to last episode.

I’m not so sure she can handle that - IMO, she does not have a “nice” voice. When a song requires her to sing, rather than to shout, it doesn’t sound so hot. Then again, maybe she should do it (I’m tired of her). Gosh, I’m snarky today. Must be Friday. ;)

I think that Jacqui is freakishly outstanding in those “big” passionate moments, and it makes a lot of sense for her to keep doing Janis Joplin-type material in this competition because it plays to her strengths. When she goes for it in the climaxes of songs like “I Put a Spell on You,” I, for one, believe her. Her regular singing is merely okay. If she ultimately has a career, she will need to learn to bring up the level of her more lyric moments. But I don’t think that is something she is going to be able to do during this show.

I’m watching. I thought James and Will both did well. Not a big fan of Jacquie’s Angel. That’s one of my favorite songs and I didn’t like the arrangement. Too much belting. It’s supposed to be a soft, quiet song. It could easily have been great if Christina didn’t have her include the belting.

I didn’t like Jacuie’s rendition. She doesn’t have the kind of voice for that song, nor did I feel that she conveyed the emotion that many singers put into that song. I have noticed that Christina is really good at making digs about other coach’s singers, and she goes overboard praising her own singers. I didn’t miss her last season.

James and Will were good. I am looking forward to Cole (cool voice) and Tessanne (who has an amazing voice, even if I don’t always care for the songs she chooses to sing).

Nope. Just one. It’s all over…on to “Sing Off.”

But, I did NOT say I was going to vote for Jacquie…just that I think she’s still in the competition :)!

I like Adam Levine less and less. I think his order is Tessanne, Will, and James–and he telegraphs that. I think it’s incredibly unfair to Will and especially James.

As I’ve said before, I don’t “get” Cole. I would have voted him off a long time ago. But, I’m obviously in the minority and I think he gets a Blake “bump.” Though Blake seems to be trying to give Tessanne a bump too.

There are a lot of things about Blake Shelton I don’t like, but after I listen to Christina cut down everyone on other teams and overpraise her own team, he’s refreshing.

I liked Tessanne’s version of the song. It was very different from the original but I enjoyed it. I still don’t like Cole’s voice and I thought Will was weak tonight. He sounded off through much of the song.
