Is there a difference between all the scientific calculators?

Why are there some that are $17 then you see some that are over $100? Is there a different between them?

@BunnyCdera The $100 ones are most likely graphing calculators, which are much more powerful.

Graphing calculators are awesome and scientific calculators are kinda meh, IMO.

But graphing calculators ARE scientific calculators.

Back in the dark ages, calculators performed elementary school arithmetic. The first calculator I ever used (used, not owned, kids did not own personal calculators then) could add, subtract, multiply, and divide. There weren’t any functions like exponents or logs, or trig. Those are found on “scientific” calculators.

Graphing calculators are a later technology and they’ve been obsolete for decades yet exploiting the fact that the manufacturers managed to get them ingrained into school textbooks and therefore every student is required to use one of these grossly overpriced dinosaurs.
