Is this a good list?

Im only a sophomore but anyways… I’m going to apply to:

University of Michigan
Harvard University
Princeton University
Dartmouth University
Duke University
Vanderbilt University
Auburn University(safety)

Im pretty smart so if my ACT was in 33-36 range, is this a good list? Do I need to add anymore reaches? matches? safeties? Thanks in Advance!!!
Im also African American

Yep, good list.

I’ve never really heard of any of those. Probably.

I mean the least offense possible when I say this, but unless you’ve actually taken an ACT practice test and scored well on it, don’t assume you will score a 33-36 on the ACT. I know a lot of smart people who have struggled with the ACT and SAT.

With that being said, if you do manage to score 33-36 and you have good grades and decent EC’s, that is a good list. Maybe you think of adding some more middleground type safeties and matches though? Auburn is a lot different than all the other schools you listed.

Good luck on your college search even if it’s a few years away :)

^ haha yea about the auburn thing, but im instate for Auburn, tho i would rather not go there D:

Here are some more you should add:

Yale University
Stanford University
MIT
Brown University
Columbia University
Cornell University
University of Pennsylvania
UVA
University of Chicago
UC Berkeley
Williams
Tufts
Amherst

If you apply to a bunch of schools, you have a wider safety net and are statistically guaranteed to get into some of them.

Hahaha all the ivies? thats alot of essays!! I been considering UVA, I’ll add it to my list, and also UCB.

…this disappoints me…

I was being facetious :/

But yeah, if you’re looking at UMich, also consider UVA. And possibly even UNC Chapel Hill. What do you intend to study?

^ hahahha why?

It’ll help me gauge your interests and which colleges would suit you best. Obviously I don’t want to go recommending LAC’s if you’re leaning towards engineering, for example.

History(Pre med)

add USC to the list

Hahah okay just for fun I will

add rice, UCLA and georgetown :D
