Is this a stupid move on my part?

Hey guys,

So the colleges I’ve applied to are as follows:

Princeton
Columbia
McGill
Rutgers (admitted)

I have a 2220 SAT and 2 720’s on my SAT II’s. Don’t want to talk about the third one, haha.
I have a 3.8smtn gpa unweighted, and a fair amount of AP/college level courses. I sort of figured if I didn’t get into columbia or princeton, I’d just go to Mcgill. I’m applying for a 10k a year scholarship at McGill, which I think I’ll get. Tution is only 15k CAD regardless. I doubt I’ll go to Rutgers because I want to get out of NJ. Is this a stupid plan? I just don’t think it’s worth paying a lot of money to go to a place like boston college when I want to go to grad school later on. The deadline to apply to colleges is coming soon so your thoughts are appreciated.

:D well are u really interested in McGill cuz u say u’ll go there. I can understand Rutgers is kinda your safety so u dont wanna go there.
are u able to apply to some more ? I think u should have 5-6 in case u dont wanna go to a college for some reason.
I think u have a chance at Columbia.

I love Montreal, and don’t mind big schools. I also love the European aspect of the city. McGill’s high on my list, especially if I get that scholarship.
