GUYS I AM SO NERVOUS PLEASE LET ME KNOW the schools that I put in astreics are the ones that I would go in a heart beat, I live in NJ guys i am so nervous idk I really messed up my sophmore year and my SAT i was so sad when I got my oct SAT back, i tried so hard and studied so hard for it and still didnt get my dream of a 1400, idk guys im really sad and scared.

I rated the schools for you above.

oh. my. god. Is it over for me, All i see is reach reach reach :frowning:

I do not think that is the case at all. My guess is with strong applications, you pull one of them. The high reaches are likely too high though.

I would suggest you read this thread by our quant expert @hebegebe. Perhaps he can also weigh in on your college choices.

I just tagged @hebegebe . Hopefully he will respond. He is very helpful. If he does, you can just pose your questions here.

Thank you so much!

What do you think abt my list if you had to guess?

You need to provide an unweighted gpa for me to chance you.

For each A, give yourself a 4. B = 3. C =2

Don’t use PE. Add up the points. Divide by the # of classes.

It will be lower than 3.77 but all schools weight differently so it’s hard to know how strong 3.77 is. I’m not sure you can be chanced at some of the easier admits on your list without knowing.

If you build your list with an assured admit that is assured affordable, there is no reason to be nervous because you’ll have a home.

So stop panicking and after we get a more complete picture and understand your budget, we can recommend sure bets. There’s plenty of time.

Are all these affordable ? What’s your budget ?

Please provide the UW gpa.

Look closer! I see some targets in @michaelcollege’s notes

For Pitt and UMD, have you already applied?

Pay close attention to the UMD portal, since they are very picky about receiving all materials (all transcripts, counselor and teacher recommendations, and official test scores) by the Nov 1 deadline.

With Pitt, it’s advantageous to apply earlier rather than later. They will also need official test scores sent to them before they can make a decision. But they turn around decisions fairly rapidly, and it might help you feel better to have an acceptance in your pocket while you are waiting on your reaches.

just calculated and my unweighted is around a 3.3 all these schools are afforadble yes.

Not yet, I am going to apply to pitt by the end of this week, idk i dont wanna sound like that guy but lets say i get into pitt, i really wouldnt be happy going there, I like really wanna go to UMD, UIUC, Kelly, Rutgers, Penn State, VT those are like my tops rn

What kind of rigor - highest math ? How many years of language.

Just making sure your rigor is there.

Pitt and UDel are your best bets from your list.

You might look at schools like James Madison, Temple, Bryant, College of Charleston, Miami Ohio, UNH, and URI. There’s more but that’s a few.

A couple of them or similar - maybe an in state school - to add to the mix. I assume you want to stay in the NE. This way you have an assured or near assured admit I assume will stay within budget.

Also, other posters have noted it’s free SUNY app week. Maybe try for Albany or Buffalo or New Paltz.

In the end, no reason to panic.

Just add two assured schools and you’ll be covered.

Sorry to hear that! If you don’t feel you would actually be happy at your target school(s), this would be a good time to find a couple of target / likely schools that you WOULD be happy attending. You may very well get into some reaches, but just in case you don’t… you want to be happy wherever you end up!
