It’s a consulting firm for environmental, health and safety compliance. Most industries have such positions to ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, state and local reporting. Familiarity with air and water pollution restrictions, as well as hazardous material handling, storage and disposal are skills not taught in colleges, so this company works on filling the gap. Doing this type of environmental compliance work also requires 40 hour HAZWOPER training, and DOT HM-181 training, offered by a variety of adult education providers.

Those skills are taught in colleges. Environmental engineering. Most likely they hire environmental, civil, and chemical engineers.

They probably also hire Industrial Hygienists

Note that the head of the firm has a PE.
