I am a full IB student with a 3.89 UW GPA. My ACT is 28. Is this evidence of grade inflation?
One test score does not determine whether your grades were inflated or not because one test doesn’t determine what you know - there are a variety of reasons that you could have not performed as best as you could. I’d retake the test if you do not like your score.
there’s too much grade inflation. like actually. too many asians too. schools with a lot of asians have huge grade inflation omg.
^^ I don’t think you actually know what you are taking about
Maybe you just had a bad test day. A 28 on the ACT is not a bad score by any means, but with that kind of GPA in all IB coursework, most people would probably expect a better score. Also, one poor section (science for a lot of people, including me) could have dragged down your score. I was expecting more theoretical science rather than basically english in a science context. I would retake it, and/or take the SAT like the first poster suggested.
