COLLEGES I’M CONSIDERING:
U of Southern California, NYU, Columbia U, BU, Elon, U of Toronto, U of British Columbia, U of Maryland, Syracuse. Any others you can suggest?
Thinking about a double major in communications, marketing, public relations (that area of interest) and film production.

The schools on your list are all excellent and reasonable. Columbia will be a major reach, but what the hoo! USC and NYU have very competitive admissions standards for Film due to the strength of their programs (#1 and #2 in the nation I believe).

Additionally, I would check out the followin schools:
University of Missouri (safety)
Northwestern University (reach)
UCLA (reach)
University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (reach)
University of Texas-Austin (match/reach)
Wesleyan University (reach)

Blue: you should know (if you already don’t) that USC has both Annenberg and Cinema; two diff schools; if you apply to film production, you are not getting the communications etc…not sure (unless something has changed) you can double major there in particular…

at Newhouse, you can double major in film and marketing but not double in two diff areas of communication (like film and PR)

I think Umaryland is just journalism but I could be mistaken…

ditto for the rest of your list…not sure you can double major in film production and PR in most comm schools…
