Is trig substitution in the ap calculus bc exam?

@sjwon3789 I think OP is referring to integrating functions such as 1/(4 + x^2) dx, which is (relatively) easily done by substituting x = 2 tan u.

In that case, I honestly don’t remember if any problems on the exam required trig substitutions. I know we covered them in my BC class though. Best to check the exam syllabus or a sample test. Or better yet, be able to evaluate these integrals with trig substitution.
