Isn't anybody itching Lost?

If you are looking for a fantastic show to watch, I strongly recommend Chuck.

My daughter is trying to get me to watch Chuck. Interesting that you mentioned Chuck.:)

I’m not a fan of Chuck – too silly. But I do enjoy watching Castle. It’s certainly not in the same genre as Lost, but it’s well written and the characters are well developed.

“I’m going to need a new show”…

they have already started addicting on “Fringe”; the first season is on DVD and this season is excellent…a little different from “Lost” but very similar type of story line…there is a back story that permeates the season but luckily each week’s mystery is usually resolved within the hour…check it out…JJ Abrams as well…

And “Chuck” is like “Batman” on steroids (without the wham, bam, splat…you get the point…)…

I like the shows JJ Abrams creates…including Felicity and Alias. I don’t know about Fringe though…it just hasn’t connected with me so I haven’t watched it.

I liked Batman …when I was a kid. I don’t know about Batman on steroids…

Anyway, my daughter is going to decide…to a point. :)

Dstark - ah, how wise you are. I wouldn’t have watched Lost if I hadn’t been for DD, but I thought what difference does it make - and now I am hooked! Really, I am going to have withdrawal symptoms when it is over.

Worknprogress…your attitude is good. We’ll just find another show. The show will change and won’t be as good…but we still have our daughters. :)

Is anyone else wondering how they are going to tie Walt’s story back in with it all?

There’s a theory on the boards that Desmond has taken over the purpose originally designed for Waaaaalt, so we might not be seeing the kid again. There are probably a lot of old questions that will just fall by the wayside in order to tie the rest of the stuff together.

I think I’d rather see Vincent be a key than Waaaalt. Woof.

And hopefully good Sayid will bleed through zombie Sayid and he will save …something or another.

So yay Glee is back this week but at 8:28 CDT after AI, according to my TV guide. Already decided it will have to be watched online or On Demand if that’s how they’re playing it.

I do like Fringe; must be the season for alternate universes. Also I’m watching Flash Forward and V, although I’m not really sure if I like them or not.

I love love love Castle; after I started watching it I went on Hulu and watched the entire Firefly series. Fantastic.

We are big Lost fans in our house, although not son at college. He thinks we’re crazy. We save them up on the dvr and then watch a whole bunch over vacations. Just got caught up tonight. So glad to see more of Desmond Hume - he’s one of my top favorites on the show. Hoping to see more of Juliette, as well. Also, Jack is not so annoying lately.

What do you all think of the scary Claire?

Marilyn, I have been wanting to finish watching Firefly for a year now. I have loved what I’ve seen (a few episodes and Serenity). I enjoy seeing the actors pop up on other things…Dollhouse, Death at a Funeral, V, Castle (especially the Halloween episode when Castle was dressed as a “space cowboy”. Of course it all started with Nathan Fillion on One Life to Live back in the day.

Ok…I have no idea what is happening…

Well, dstark, you are certainly not alone! It’s pretty confusing. If you have been watching all along, or most of the time, then I guess, like the rest of us, you have to trust that things will wind their way to an understandable conclusion… or not. If you are new to the show, then I strongly suggest you start at the beginning online, or wherever you can get full episodes, and then, trust that things will wind their way to an understandable conclusion… or not! :)

I only watched the second half last night (I will watch the first on tivo later) but it seemed to me that Desmond is the new Jacob. He is going around the alternate universe/flash sideways supervising (with an almost omnicient attitude) the oceanic groups rediscovery and awakenings. Hurley and Libby back together again, so sweet. So does that mean Libby is also trapped in a pergatory on the island (like Michael)?

Well if you watched last week, Charlie drove Desmond’s car into the water to show him what he called “love.” This allowed Desmond to see the writing on Charlie’s hand and start “remembering” things from his parrallel life on the island, particularly related to Penny. At the end of the episode Desmond asked his driver for the flight manifest from Flight 815, because he said he was going “to make them all see.” That is the explanation of why Desmond is doing that, I don’t believe it makes him the new Jacob.

I feel as if the title of the thread is very Lostesque.

:)…

Who watched this week’s episode? I just did. There are only 4 episode’s left and I didn’t feel we got very much closer to closure…

Any thoughts?

Definitely feel Flocke is bad but not so sure Widmore is good. Would really like some explanation for what happened to Claire when she disappeared to change her into a crazy Flocke follower. Is Sayid waking up out of his zombie like state? Love the Jin/Sun back together again stuff.

It was not my favorite episode…

Somebody mentioned the web site…What Alan’s Watching?

The analysis on that site sounds right to me. I’m not going to post it here…in case it is right and people don’t want to know.

At first I was happy to read the analysis…now…I should probably stop reading other web sites…in case they are right. :)

Resurrecting this thread because, well, I guess it’s obvious.

What did everyone think about the penultimate episode? I though it was terrific. Really smooth, natural progression, great character development etc. Loved Ben, loved Jack (now that’s a surprise), loved FLocke, loved Desmond…

I am so excited/sad that it is almost over. i can’t wait for Sunday, and I don’t want it to come-- at the same time!
